Sports Injuries

If you are like most athletes in the Forked River area, you’re driven, self-confident, and competitive. While these are great traits to possess on the playing field, they can be counterproductive when you’re sidelined with an injury. We at A Chiropractic Touch LLC understand your eagerness to get back in the game, but when it comes to a sports injury, getting back in the game too early can lead to bigger and more complicated problems in the future. Don’t just “walk-it-off.” Take the determination you have on the field and put it into your recovery. A Chiropractic Touch LLC has helped a number of athletes in Forked River recover in a timely manner with proper chiropractic adjustments. From pulled hamstrings to torn ligaments, from shin splints to tennis elbow, we are 100% committed to getting you off the sidelines and back in the game.

How many sessions are required?

The number of sessions required depends on the severity of the injury and your body’s natural healing capacity. At your initial consultation, Dr. Eckert will gather all relevant information and perform an in-depth nervous system analysis. Afterwards, we will be able to give you an estimate on the number of sessions required as well as a list of exercises you can do at home to expedite the recovery time.

Can you treat all sports-related injuries?

Dr. Eckert is able to treat a wide range of sports-related injuries such as sprains, strains, and tears. However, when it comes to some severe injuries it is best to see an orthopedic surgeon for treatment. We at A Chiropractic Touch LLC have always had an honest approach to chiropractic and if we feel that chiropractic care isn’t the best route on the road to recovery, we will recommend an alternative approach for our Forked River clientele.

What type of clothing should I wear to my appointment?

We recommend wearing something comfortable and loose fitting to your scheduled appointments. If necessary, you may be asked to change into an examination gown for a more accurate assessment.
